Our Head Office opened in Nottingham in 1986. Based in the City Centre, our Head Office is home to our Telesales, Parts and Service Centres as well as our central support departments. It is also the location of our Nottingham Superstore.

Store Operations - The role of Store Operations is to manage and support the teams in each of our stores nationwide. Store Operations is a varied and demanding responsibility that ensures the efficient operation of the store network through effective teamwork, communication, organisation and planning.

Marketing - The Marketing department is split into Creative Services, Advertising and E-Commerce. From Catalogue Production, Store Marketing Support, Promotional Activity and Campaigns, Direct Marketing, Online Marketing, Product Marketing, Advertising, and promotional events, this department works together to bring the Machine Mart brand to life. Our well established website has been recently upgraded enabling us to sell an ever growing range of specialist and hard to find products to our customers both across the UK and internationally.

IT - The technology world is constantly evolving and the IT team provide our business with fast connectivity, simplified processes, new capabilities and reliable services. From concept through to system development, from implementation through to training and support for our teams, they give each department and every retail store the right tools in technology to enable us to deliver value and efficiency for our customers.

HR - Finding and keeping great people is as important to our success as having great products in our stores. That’s the responsibility of the HR team. The HR department have a vital role to play, working closely with Store Operations and department leaders to keep our people engaged and productive; the scope of the HR Team’s work is huge and includes Employee Relations and case management services, Payroll, HR administration, Recruitment, retention and the on-going development of our people.

Purchasing - Our Buyers are involved in the whole process of sourcing new products to feature in our stores, catalogue and website, as well as negotiating pricing on our existing product range with approximately 150 suppliers both here and overseas, for over 20,000 product lines to help us ensure the best deals for our customers.

Supply Chain & Stock Control - This department is responsible for ensuring our products are reliably delivered as efficiently as possible, to meet customer needs and exceed their expectations. We supply more than 20,000 products from around 150 suppliers and it is the Supply Chain & Stock Control department that works closely with all of our suppliers, our distribution centre and stores, managing stock replenishment to maximise first choice availability.

Property - The Property team are responsible for the management of our property portfolio, which means they facilitate the acquisition and outfitting of new stores as well as the refurbishment and maintenance of existing stores. We have big plans for expansion, with many new stores in the pipeline and the Property team are essential to this.

Accounts - The Accounts team also play an important part in our operations, delivering our core responsibility of providing financial control across all aspects of the business. They provide all departments with financial understanding of how each of their roles affect the bottom line.

Internal Audit - Through collating and analysing large amounts of data, working in collaboration with our stores and departmental managers, the role of the internal audit team is to supply timely information and correspondence to provide assurance that the company’s risk management and internal control processes are operating effectively.
